Warren D. “Jim” Stiffler

July 27, 1932       July 16, 2017

     Warren D. “Jim” Stiffler, 84, New Enterprise, formerly of Hightstown NJ, passed away Sunday morning at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, after a brief illness. 

    He was born in New Enterprise, son of the late Frederick B. and Sara Roberta (Casteel) Stiffler.  On September 2, 1956 he married Helen F. Pilarski in Hightstown, NJ.  She preceded him in death on January 25, 1996.

     Surviving are a daughter, Linda L. (husband, Bruce) Fry of Flemington, NJ; two sons: Paul W. ( wife, Mary) Stiffler of Vincentown, NJ and James R. (wife, Threasa) in North Carolina; two grandsons: Salvatore J. Balestrieri IV and Joseph J. Balestrieri; special companion of the last 15 years, Barbara A. Banasik; a brother, Jack Stiffler (wife, Pat) in Arizona; a nephew, Daniel Stiffler; and a niece, Connie Jacomini (husband, Peter).

     Jim was a graduate of Replogle High School, New Enterprise and U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving as a aircraft mechanic from 1954-1956 attaining the rank of specialist 3rd class.

     He retired in 1995 as a truck driver from the Coca Cola Foods Division, Hightstown, NJ and also worked as a tank truck driver for Kauffman and Minteer Trucking who hauled milk for the Walker Gordon Dairy.

     Jim loved fishing, hunting, trapping turtles, bee keeping and he also enjoyed collecting antiques.  

     At the request of the deceased there will be no public services and a private interment will be held at Salemville Cemetery, rural New Enterprise.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
