Louis R. Dambeck, 84, Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday evening, October 3, 2017, at his home.
He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Karl Dambeck and Frances Thalhauser. On November 27, 1964, he married Mary Kathryn "Kate" Russell in Winchester, VA.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years; 2 son: James of Huston, TX and Steve of Sinking Springs, PA; 2 daughters: Linda Baney (Ken) of Clearfield and Kathy Smith (Lon) of Martinsburg; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 4 siblings: Ann of Lancaster and Katie, Marcy and Bill, all of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by 6 siblings: Karl, Frances, Mary, Theresa, Xavier and Robert.
Louis worked for PennDot, retiring in 1995 after 25 years of service.
He was a lifetime member of the Bavarian Aide Society, UnterUns, and the Martinsburg Sportsmen Association. Louis enjoying hunting and golfing.
Louis was of the Catholic faith.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to your favorite charity of organization.
