Catherine L. Easly, 80, Martinsburg passed away Sunday morning at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Spangler, daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Lake) Kommer.  On June 21, 1958 she married Ronald H. Easly in Barnesboro.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 59 years; two daughters: Beth Ann (husband, John) Cerrone of Ballston Lake, NY, and Cheryl Easly of Martinsburg; a son, Doug (wife, Doreen) of Martinsburg; eight grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Margaret Lobick, Evelyn Tretinik and Betty Hornick.

Catherine was a 1955 graduate, which was the first graduating class of Northern Cambria High School, the former Barnesboro High School.  She lived many years in Hastings and worked at the A&P Co., in both Hastings and Barnesboro.  After moving to Greenville, SC with her husband, she then worked at Dillard’s in the credit department for 10 years.

Catherine volunteered every Saturday afternoon at Homewood at Martinsburg calling bingo.  She enjoyed playing cards and was an avid reader, but her true love in life was her family.
